The fauna of the Bystrinsky Nature Park
is very famous for its high density of bears. More bears than
humans live within the boarders of the park territory. The bears don’t live in captivity
and you can observe them in their natural habitat.
(Please be aware of bears and
pay attention to the information in the visitor centre about
behaviour in case of meeting a bear).
Wolfs also live here. It is very hard to see/observe them, but if
you have the chance to grasp them, you can feel relativley
safe because they are afraid of humans.
You can observe sables whole year
around.
Moreover otters have their home in brooks. The rare wether Ovis nivicola is
found in big numbers in our park only.
Elks and snow rabbits inhabitate the park. Of course squirrels and marmots
are native here, too.
Angler will certainly have much fun
in our park. The rivers are full of trouts. In July the salmon season
starts and as in Kamchatka one third of the whole salmons of the Pacific Ocean spawn,
the riveres are full of them.
Without going further into
detail, it should also be mentioned that 137 bird species occur
within the park boarders, 106 of them being migrant birds.
